A phone-photo walk
Look twice.
Find an ordinary subject. Make a first picture, then try three small choices. Keep both versions.
First picture: 00-06 · Take one view at the meeting point. Keep it.
Find the light
10-22 / 2 walk · 1 cue · 6 make · 3 compare
Point to a lit area and a shaded area. Make two views of one still subject from safe positions, keeping it a similar size.
Compare: Where did the light or shadow change? Which version do you prefer?
Give one thing the lead
22-34 / 2 walk · 1 cue · 6 make · 3 compare
Say what your picture is about. Take a first view. Move a little to separate its edge from the background, then take another.
Compare: Ask before naming your subject: what do you notice first? Did the change help?
Leave one thing out
34-46 / 2 walk · 1 cue · 6 make · 3 compare
Make a view with some surroundings. Check all four edges. Change angle or distance to leave one distraction out; take another picture.
Compare: What disappeared? What useful context did you lose? Tighter is not always better.
48-54 / Keep one comparison
Pick two views from one activity, or your first and a later view of the same subject. Let a partner describe what they see first. Choose for yourself.
