PLAIN TEXT / YOUR OWN TOOL
Use a kit in your tool
How to use a kit in ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Copilot, Gemini, Grok or anything else, from each vendor's own documentation.
ChatGPT
Paste the instruction, attach the sample files or your own, and read the stops first.
ChatGPT's Work mode does long, multi-step jobs and produces documents, spreadsheets, slides and Sites. A kit is plain text and files, so it can be pasted in.
Claude
Paste the instruction, attach the sample files or your own, and read the stops first.
Where Cowork is available, Claude works with files in the folders and tools you choose, including documents, spreadsheets, slides, PDF and CSV. Availability depends on plan and rollout.
Codex
Paste the instruction, attach the sample files or your own, and read the stops first.
Codex documents AGENTS.md for project guidance and SKILL.md folders for reusable methods. Skill setup depends on the supported desktop, CLI or IDE surface.
Copilot
Paste the plain instruction into a Copilot chat you can access, and read the stops first.
Microsoft announced Copilot Cowork general availability on 16 Jun 2026, with a Microsoft 365 Copilot user license and usage-based charges. Tenant access has not been checked.
Gemini
Paste the instruction, attach the sample files or your own, and read the stops first.
Google documents reusable instructions in the SKILL.md format. Availability differs between the Gemini app and Workspace, and each surface needs its own setup.
Grok
Paste the plain instruction as a message and read the stops first.
xAI's 11 Aug 2026 announcement describes Grok Bot as a beta cloud-computer agent that can learn routines by following along. This is vendor documentation, not a CodexWork trial.
Other agents
Paste the plain instruction into an agent that accepts text, then supply inputs through its supported route and read the stops first.
AGENTS.md provides project guidance to coding agents that read it. Agent Skills is a separate folder format built around SKILL.md, for skills-compatible clients.
